Overview
The zebrafish facility is where we culture fish for studies on reproduction, behaviour, and physiology and breed fish to generate embryos for studies on fish development. Undergraduate researchers are involved in our animal care program and may perform their senior thesis in this facility; graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in our lab often use this facility for animal studies.
Our research primarily focuses on the impacts of environmental stressors such as temperature, oxygen, and contaminants on fish. Since fish are a vertebrate species, our studies have important implications for both human and environmental health.
